You have a ring... now what?!?!

The first few weeks after getting engaged can be a very overwhelming process.  The trick is to not get too overwhelmed by the thought of all you have to do!  First things first, you want to dream a little.

Don't think about logistics, guest count, budget (seriously!) just yet!  This is the time to remember all of those visions you had when you were a little girl.  Or if you weren't the veil wearing, bouquet carrying 4 year old like so many, don't worry, you're definitely not alone!!  Many women haven't even thought about their wedding until a guy they love got down on one knee!  So this time for you is especially important to formulate how you envision this day going!!

Think about the feeling and the mood, do you want a candle-lit romantic evening, or a loud, party until the wee hours dance fest?  Do you picture an outdoor event or a traditional ballroom type feel?  Are you more low-key and relaxed or uber-chic and glamtastic?

If you start this process of just dreaming about what you want first, this will help you tremendously in the search for venues, flowers, dress etc.  Knowing what kind of vision and theme you have going will help you par down the options and not make the process so overwhelming.  If you know you want a party until way past midnight wedding, you can easily weed out any venues that have time restrictions.  Usually like any type of outdoor venue. If you have known your whole life you want to get married in the church where your parents got married, then not wasting your time on a venue that the only thing it has going for it is it's view from the ceremony site will save you valuable time and stress!
